All's well that ends well, but we wouldn't use any of the folks we used this time for future real estate deals. In the end we got the house wanted, for a good price. We were able to negotiate a good deal for what was wrong with the place, but the house had good bones and is in a wonderful neighborhood in SW. We had general inspection, sewer scope, radon testing, arborist, roofer, mold contractors, and pest guys all do inspections. Don't get me wrong the realtor wasn't terrible, was definitely on our side (wasn't pushing us to forgo inspections etc) but like the broker made some errors along the way and we really needed to stay on top of them to get the deal done. In this role he works with clients and potential clients to discuss their hiring needs and assist in developing stragegic search solutions both nationally and internationally. We found the place we liked and then utilized redfin's realtor to close the deal. Bio: Graham King, holds the title of Creative Recruiter. We didn't utilize a realtor to do the house hunt. It ultimately worked out just fine but we would not utilize the company in the future. They made several errors along the way so we needed to stay involved at every step to make sure it was all on track and correct. We didn't really shop around (mistake) because at first they were really attentive, but as the process went on it became annoying to deal with them. We were not happy with our broker in the end. Synergy One Lending has the right combination of people and technology. We went with a mortgage broker which simplifies the lending process but you don't get to choose who your mortgage is gonna be sold to. Just closed on our house earlier this month.
